Modern Deco

Today Potts Point is entering a new belle époque. Its streets are lined with heritage terraces, towering old trees and the largest concentration of art deco architecture in Australia. There’s something of lower Manhattan in the air. The neighbourhood’s urban bohemian past lingers, pulling you in, encouraging a new class of creative to find their own freedom.

And now, there’s the perfect place to live it. Welcome to The Hensley.

On a street corner in Potts Point sit two heritage terraces, beautifully updated with modern renders and converted into stunning contemporary homes – but with the luxurious high ceilings of old. Behind this historic façade, a striking contemporary structure graduates from brick to modern steel and glass.

This selection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments mostly face northeast, enjoying views to the water at Rushcutters Bay. Up above on the communal rooftop terrace, three distinct areas create private nooks for entertaining or quiet relaxation.

Designed by global architecture firm Woods Bagot, The Hensley makes a bold architectural statement – a one-of-a-kind addition to Potts Point that perfectly captures its past and present.

In the kitchen, stone benchtops and splashbacks in pietra grey or statuario white add to the sense of old-time elegance, tempered with sleek cabinetry and open shelving. Linear lighting over an island benchtop diffuses a warm, bright glow evenly throughout the space.

These oak-and-oxide features are echoed in the bathroom, where a stone bench top flows into a stunning feature wall and punctuates the elegant cabinetry. Soft, natural-feeling light permeates the room. The luxe bathroom experience is completed with old English-style tapware and a mirror – indulgently large – spanning the wall.

The architecture of the past

Your chance to be a part of it all is here. The apartments of The Hensley are designed to coexist harmoniously with the heritage architecture of the surrounding streets.

The lifestyle of the present

Discover a contemporary urban experience reminiscent of New York. Bustling eateries and bars boast some of Sydney’s finest culinary names, while fresh produce markets pop up under the shade of towering old trees.

At The Hensley, your exclusive address captures the very essence of Sydney today. Potts Point is the gateway to the eastern suburbs, and its high-end retail and scene-stealing beaches, but it offers more charm and local warmth. All just 2km from the city centre.

In the heart of Potts Point, The Hensley couldn’t be better located. With an abundance of restaurants, moody small bars, boutiques stocking international fashion and undiscovered gems, independent galleries and a rich café culture.
